Latest:

On Cox Plate Day 2017 when the incomparable Winx won her 3rd Cox Plate in succession, Tarcoola Spirit went ever so close to bringing up her first blacktype victory. After being slowly away Tarcoola Spirit charged home after settling near the tail of the field to fail by a long neck to catch Blondie (who led all-the-way) in the Listed Crockett Stakes over 1200m. After not racing for 28 days the lack of race fitness, and slow beginning, was a telling factor in the result. Tarcoola Spirit was a 'sectional star' from this race recording the best sectional for all bar the (tardy) first 200m of the race.

Optimistically we look forward to Tarcoola Spirit soon winning a black type race in the near future.

Historical:

Resuming for her 2017 spring preparation Tarcoola Spirit ran home a very easy winner at Cranbourne in the Procon Developments 3YO BM64 Handicap over 1000m. Ridden by Ben Melham, Tarcoola Spirit was slowly away but easily picked her way through the field and burst through a gap at the top of the straight to win by 1.75 lengths, eased right down. We hope as we proceed through spring there are much greater riches to be claimed by this very talented filly.

Tarcoola Spirit wins at Cranbourne 27/08/2017

Following a brilliant (untouched) trial win by 7 lengths, Tarcoola Spirit made her debut at Bendigo on the 18th of February 2017. Ridden by Craig Robertson, Tarcoola Spirit was very slowly away after being upset by an earlier barrier disturbance. Quickly finding stride she raced through the field to claim the lead. Challengers did come from the pack in the straight, but she easily fought them off to record her first win.
