Jaques le Naif runs 2nd in the Group 3 Hobart Cup 2200m now won over $350,000 – being purchased out of the paddock at Tarcoola Stud by Terry Kelly for $12,000.

Solar Secret just pipped in Listed $175,000 1350m Eyeliner at Ipswitch. Coming from well off the pace Solar Secret hit the lead 50m out, but collared on the line to run an unlikely 2nd. Stud and new trainer Nikki Burke ecstatic as only 2nd run back from spell horse still under done.

Tarcoola Stud two year old resells in Hong Kong for $458,000.
The colt by Success Express and Gladden (family of Elvstroem, Haradasun, Polak Success)
was bought by the HK Jockey Club for $110,000
at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Jan Sale 2006.
He had been broken in and reports on it's ability were very positive.
His half brother out of Choisir will be offered at the Sydney Easter Sale 2007.

Wandering Melody breaks through for overdue win.
1400m maiden terang backed from 25/1 to 8/1.
With a 13 horse field Wandering Melody cruised to an easy 1½ lengths wins.
The marauding filly was passed in $20,000 reserve at the 2004 Melbourne Premier Sale.
She is leased/trained by David Noonan and was perfectly ridden by Christine Puls.

Magistrates Court wins 1200m 3yr old maiden at Kyneton.
In his 2nd life time start and first from a spell the colt easily accounted for the Kyneton 12 horse field starting at the luxury odds of 25/1. The half brother to how funny (2nd Golden Slipper Group 1) was passed in at the Melbourne Premier 2005 sale for $70,000.
He was well ridden by Nash Rawiller and trained by Dean Lawson who has always thought the colt possessed plenty of potential.

White Diamonds unlucky 2nd at Sandown.
White diamonds was run down in the shadows of the post by Tony Noonan trained Jacquenline Rouge in todays 3yr old fillies 1200m race.
Starting from the outside gate white diamonds was used early to cross the field into a 70km headwind. The filly kicked brilliantly in the straight but just failed.
Trainer David Noonan was thrilled with the run while jockey Steve Baxter was able to settle the filly brilliantly.

Arabian Ruler salutes for Tarcoola Stud. A fantastic effort by trainer Mick Price and staff saw Arabian Ruler win first start, 3 year old 1400m Werribee Showcase maiden.
Arabian Ruler was passed in at the Ingliss Premier Sale for $40,000.
He has always shown potential, but has been a slow maturer, Price believeing he will make a fine staying 4 year old.
Breeding is Desert King/ Emotional Success (Last Tycoon).

Jacques le Naif wins yet again.
Ridden to perfection by Damien Oliver Jacques le Naif won Ballarat 1600m Open today.
This was the fifth win (9 in total) in this campaign by the horse including twice at Mooney Valley. Congratualtions go to the trainer Terry Kelly for a wonderful training effort, and secondly for having the foresight to purchase the horse privately for $12,000 - after all sales companies rejected the horse as a racing proposition.
The horse now heads to the Listed Winner Championship stakes at Flemington. Breeding is En Costa de Lago/Bit of Bliss (Snippets).

Dare to Defy wins again, after easily accounting for a maiden field at Donald by 3 1/2 lengths.
Dare to Defy has taken out the Showcase 1400m Class 1 at Ballarat in the slick time of 1.10.8. Patiently prepared by Nikki Burke this makes 2 wins and a second from 4 starts for the Commands filly.
Astutely bought by Theo Raptis at the 2004 Melbourne Premier Slae for $40,000 - the filly now heads for Flemington. Breeding is Commands/Corshay (Omnicorp)

Throne Inn wins the Ingliss Scone 2 year old classic .
Starting a short priced favourite Thronne Inn blizzed the Scone classic field today coming from 2nd last on the turn to win running away.
The run was perfectly timed by jockey A.Robertson and trained to the minute by Ken Callanghan.
It was Throne Inn's third win as a 2 year old in five starts, running an unlucky 2nd at Rosehill and unplaced in the Black Opal after starting near favourite and being polaxed at the start.
The horse was purchased at the Sydney sires sales for $25,000. Her prize money to date is $194,350 (including breeder .......) Breeding is King Of Kings/Amberlene.

Captancollo wins again.
Well ridden by apprentice A.Malloyon the 3 year old had it's 3rd win in 10 starts, in the WNBL 1000m Class 3.
The horse was carefully selected by trainer David Noonan at the 2004 Melbourne Premier sale for $35,000. Update 10th May Sandown, Captancollo unlucky 3rd to Flash Trick after being badly checked in the straight.
Breeding is Last Tycoon/Comic Dame.

Revevenza wins for Hawkes.
Ridden by Darren Beadman the filly cleared out today to win the 3 year old fillies 1MW at Kensington by 3 lengths.
This was her 3rd win in 10 starts and a bright future looks in place. She was purchased by the astute Nikkie Cramsie at the 2004 Inglis Sires sales for $25,000 - and is a half sister to Thronne Inn. Breeding is Commands/Amberlene (Alannon).
Bitterblue wins first up from spell for Terry Kelly leading all the way. Purchased at the 2004 Premier Sale 2 for $20,000. Breeding is Spectrum/Lady Camelot (Palace Music).

Tarcoola Stud has it's first Group 1 winner
St Moritz has brillantly won the Macau Derby for 2006. Ridden by Danny Nikolic, he came from 6th on the turn to win running away over the 1800m Derby Distance.
This followed on from his equally impressive Group 2 Macau Guineas win.
The horse was purchased by Therese Patton on the advise of Patrick Payne for $40,000 at the 2003 Melbourne Premier Sale for Hong Kong owner Choy Chin Moon.
It has now won 6 races in 11 starts an amassed approx Aus $1m in prize money.
Update - St.Moritz fails by a lip to run down Happee Owner in the HK Group 1 today 30th April.
Coming back from 1800m to the 1400m, the gelding came from well back in the turn to just fail running down the winner. Breeding is Grand Lodge/Mashed Goddess (Marscay).

White Diamonds salutes for Tarcoola Stud. Brilliantly ridden by Nash Rawiller the filly took out the 2 year old super vobis 1000m maiden at Ballarat today.
Considered not well enough breed for any major sale the filly was kept by the Stud for it's own breeding programme.
Trained by David Noonan she has always shown potential, however niggling problems have kept her from the track.
She will now be turned out for a spring campaign. Breeding is Jugah/El Tornedo (El Moxie).
